Clubs

Art Show

Join us for "ART ROCKS" Mentor High School Student Art Exhibit in the Paradigm today, Thursday, April 19th from 6-8 pm! The exhibit promises to be a great experience and a chance for students to showcase their artwork for staff, parents, peers and the community. Please plan to attend! Family and friends are welcome! This year the high school Art Department will highlight, ART ROCKS. The show is free and open to the public. This show is sponsored by the MHS Art Department and the MHS PTSA.


Prom

Tickets for the 2018 Mentor Prom will go on sale on Monday, April 23rd. Tickets are $36.00 per person and $70.00 per couple. Please remember to fill out a guest approval form if you are planning on bringing someone who is a non-Mentor student. Forms can be picked up in the unit 12 office or the bookstore and are required in order to purchase tickets.

Once again CARDS Bullying Awareness Club is sponsoring a Senior Citizen Prom on May 3rd at Parker Place from 6 to 8pm. Come dance with the seniors, have great conversations, take a Limo ride, and sample the appetizers. This is a great community event and you can earn community service hours for your participation. Sign-up in Mr. Nemunaitis' office (A115) no later than April 25th.

National Honor Society

Attention Sophomores and Juniors with a cumulative gpa above 3.5: You should have received an email over Spring Break through Infinite Campus outlining the application process for National Honor Society. Please check the email address you have linked with Infinite Campus. If you did not receive an email, but believe that you should have, please contact Mr. Senn in room B219 or senn@mentorschools.org.

Representatives from Carlow College and Lakeland Community College will be visiting MHS on 4/25. Lakeland rep will be in H-102 at 11:15. The Carlow rep will be in the Student Center during the lunch mods. If you'd like to attend the Lakeland meeting, sign up on Naviance and you'll receive a pass to attend.

Guidance

Sophomores and Juniors interested in serving as counselors for 6th grade camp in the fall need to apply by filling out the application and getting a teacher recommendation. Guys are especially needed as camp counselors. A link to the online application is on Schoology. Students will also need to ask a teacher to complete a recommendation form as part of the application process. Teacher recommendations will be done on paper and you will need to get the form from Mr. Byrum in I107. The deadline for submitting the application and the teacher recommendation form is May 11, 2018.
