Movie Club

MOVIE CLUB TODAY! Get into the festive season with Elf, starring Will Ferrell, only at the new Mentor Movie Club! Take your mind off exam week with this holiday classic in room F107 after school today(Tuesday). We hope to see you there!


Student Government

MHS Student government is sponsoring an ugly sweater contest for the students on Tuesday 12/18. There will be two prizes awarded: 1) The most spirited 3-4 class will win a donut breakfast 2) Top student with the ugliest sweater of all will win a gift card. There are two ways to share your results the preferred way is to share the hashtag #uglysweatermhs on Twitter (this lets the world know we can have some fun) but if you don't Twitter you can just send me an email with a picture so we can vote on it. Thanks and encourage your 3-4 class.


Ski/Board Club

Its not too late to sign up for Mentor High Schools Ski/Snowboard Club BUT spaces are filling up fast. Please get your form and payment to Miss Fisher in room C203 by the end of next week to secure your spot. Lessons and equipment are included come learn something new, improve your skills, or show off your tricks!

Science Olympiad will have a brief team meeting today(Wed) in preparation for the first meet of season 30. Its today at 2:30 in I-103

Attention all current and prospective ski club members. Order forms are now available for your 2019 gear. Stop by C203 or A216 to pick up an order form. Orders can be placed through December 19.

Seniors: If you are planning to major in education in college, you are eligible to apply for the Lake County Retired Teachers Association scholarship. Stop by the Guidance Office, room A114, to get an application.

The College Review is offering an ACT Test Prep class. Learn everything you need to know about the ACT and how to improve your scores. This class will be held on Sat, Jan. 12, 9-11AM in the Paradigm. Among them are the Mentor Teachers Association Scholarships, the Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship, the Dr. Theodore Webster Scholarship and the MHS Class of 1976 Scholarship. Cleveland State University has announced their "Engineer for a Day" Job Shadowing program to be held on Friday, Feb. 22, 2019. Students will be placed at engineering firms in the Cleveland area. Students in grades 9-12 with a strong interest in engineering are eligible to apply. Stop by the Guidance Office, room A114, for more information.
