Scholarship Opportunity for Juniors:
Juniors are invited to apply for the Coolidge Scholars Scholarship which covers tuition, room/board and expenses for 4-years of undergraduate study. Scholarship may be used at ANY American university. Info at: coolidgescholars.org. This scholarship was established by the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation. They plan to award a minimum of 2 scholarships in this their inaugural year. Applicants can be of any background, planning to pursue any academic discipline of study. It is a non-partisan, need-blind program. See one of the junior counselors for questions.
LAB - Learning About Business:
Sophomores & Juniors: Now is the time to apply for LAB. Learning About Business is a week-long program held in June at Lake Erie College. Students form companies, network with area business professionals and compete for awards. Info in Guidance A114. 65 area high school students are chosen to participate in this hands-on learning experience. LAB will provide you with life and career strategies and tools no matter what vocation you choose.
Seniors, if you're not yet receiving the scholarship emails, you can go to mentorhigh.com and subscribe. You'll see where to put in your email address to receive scholarship, daily announcements and/or sports announcements.
Lakeland Community College Visit Days:
Lakeland is having campus visit days on 3/12, 3/19, 3/23, 4/15. They will discuss LCC offerings, the admissions process, the Holden Center, Q & A session and tours. Registration is required. www.lakelandcc.edu/visit
Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce Career Tech Scholarship:
The Mentor Chamber of Commerce will award one or more $1,000 scholarships to seniors enrolled in a career-tech program. Applications can be found in the Scholarship Drawer located in Guidance, A114, or online at: www.mentorchamber.org/chamber-info
LEAF will hold a free informational session on March 2, 2016 at 6:30 PM.. Conducting a Campus Visit is designed for High School Juniors and their parent(s). We will address the questions you should ask, and who you should talk to when visiting a college campus. The session is free, and will be held at the LEAF Resource Center at 8221 Auburn Rd. Please register online at www.leaf-ohio.org or call LEAF at (440) 358-8045 to reserve a seat. Reservations are required, capacity is limited.

Last year's lists were discontinued June 3.You need to resubscribe to receive emails for the 2015-2016 school year. If you didn't resubscribe after that date, you will not receive emails.
