Guidance News

US Military Academies:
Attention students interested in attending one of the U.S. Military Academies after graduation. A current cadet at Annapolis will be visiting MHS on Nov. 19. He will be talking about the admissions process and life at Annapolis. He will also be able to talk about admissions to any of the other U.S. Military Academies. If youd like to attend this meeting, sign-up in the Guidance Office, room A114.


Drivers Ed:
Drivers' Ed classes begin on Monday, December 3. Classes start after school at 2:45 in Lecture Room B. Pick up a Drivers' Ed flyer at the Bookstore for details and registration information. Or, go to: www.NationalDriverTrainingOhio.com/mentor


LEAF Advisor:
LEAF will hold a free session for high school juniors and their parents on Thursday, December 6th, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at the LEAF Resource Center located in Lakeland Community College at 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, OH, room A-2101 (the CLI). RESEARCHING COLLEGES ONLINE will address what Juniors should be doing to prepare for college and how to research colleges extensively online. The session is free, but reservations are required. LEAF is a nonprofit that delivers career and college access advisory programs that connect individuals to their best-fit careers.

Football Game Stats| Redline Club| Sports Calendar|Sports Update

Football:Playoff Football:
The Mentor Cardinals football team will be taking on St. Edward High School in the Division 1 region 1 OHSAA playoffs on Friday, November 16th at 7pm. The game will be played at Euclid High School. Tickets for the game will be on sale at the Mentor High School athletic office on Wednesday through Friday from 8am to 3pm and then again on Thursday from 5pm to 7pm. All tickets are $8 in advance and $9 at the gate. Only cash and check will be accepted.


Other:Spirit Wear:
Spirit Wear is now available for purchase in the bookstore. Please stop by to take a look and help support our work-study students. We have a variety of items for sale including hats, hoodies, greeting cards, polos, ear buds and even socks and will continue to expand as the year progresses so check back often! We take cash and checks made out to Mentor High School.
